Arsenal have set a date to sit down with central midfielder Matteo Guendouzi about a new contract.
The 20-year-old is on a modest contract, which he signed when he arrived from FC Lorient in 2018.
Given his progress under Unai Emery and now Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are hoping to tie down Guendouzi in the coming months.
Football.London believes the club are planning contract talks with the high flying midfielder when the season concludes.
Guendouzi is an important player for the Gunners and they would not want to lose him this summer.
The club are aware of the need to rebuild, and see the Frenchman as one of the key figures that should be in the squad in the coming years.
