An agent for Arsenal fullback Hector Bellerin has held high level transfer talks with Barcelona this week.
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu, along with directors Robert Fernandez and Raül Sanllehí, met with Bellerin’s representative Albert Botines last Thursday.
Personal terms were discussed, which included assurances of the deal being improved as the player progressed. Barca even offered the No2 shirt for Bellerin to inherit.
The Catalans hope to do business for €40 million, though Arsenal are reluctant to sell and are pushing for €50 million to get around the table.
However, Barca know their stand will change dramatically should Bellerin demand a transfer – which was discussed during last week’s summit
