Ligue 1 Conforama’s top scorer Edinson Cavani, suspended, will be out of action for the Week 29 match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Metz at the Parc des Princes on Saturday (17:00 CET).
Ligue 1 Conforama leaders Paris Saint-Germain will have to do without Edinson Cavani in their Week 29 clash against FC Metz on Saturday. The Uruguayan received an automatic suspension after picking up a third yellow card in the space of ten matches in the Week 27 Classique win over arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille. Meanwhile, Metz will have to make up for the suspension absences of Georges Mandjeck and Julian Palmieri.
For the first time this season, the current Ligue 1 Conforama top scorer (24 goals) will be missing for two league outings in a row, having sat it out as PSG beat Troyes 2-0 in Week 28. In Cavani’s absence, it was youngster Timothy Weah (18 years old) who stepped in to make his Ligue 1 Conforama debut.
Cavani, clear at the top
When PSG and Metz met earlier in the season, Edinson Cavani bagged a brace at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. This season, the capital-club striker (53.4% shots on target) has already turned in his second-best career performance in a single Ligue 1 Conforama campaign, an effort that has him comfortably atop the scorers chart. He leads clubmate Neymar Jr by five goals and AS Monaco hitman Radamel Falcao by seven. The Uruguayan is averaging a goal every 86 minutes this season, and one every 76 minutes at the Parc des Princes.
