Dijon FCO  2 – 1  Stade Rennais FC

Olivier Dall’Oglio (Dijon coach): “I think we deserve this victory. After the defeats at Paris and Strasbourg, the team could have gone into freefall, but they proved their mental strength. It was a good performance, although I think we could have been in front at half-time. But the essential thing was that the players were able to react and take the advantage again in the second half. Florent Balmont put in a great performance. He is doing better physically and is playing more, and his experience is very useful. I just hope we can manage to perform better away from home, where we are not at ease.”

Sabri Lamouchi (Rennes coach): “We came looking for the three points, but our performance did not match our ambitions. We were too timid at the start of the match, even if we equalised quickly after going behind. I can understand that there might be tiredness after a busy month of January, but not at the start of the game. There was some good stuff in the second half. After Dijon’s second goal, my players tried to get back into the game, but overall we were not able to impose our game. It is a real disappointment.”
