Despite rumours of interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid, Anthony Martial will stay with Manchester United long-term.
That’s the opinion of Italian agent Fabrizio Ferrari, an expert of the French transfer market with close ties to several Ligue 1 clubs, including AS Monaco and Lyon.
Ferrari knew all about Martial when he was coming through at OL and wasn’t surprised when United came in for him at Monaco.
And despite talk of a move away this summer, he insists Martial is at United to stay.
“I think Martial will be an important player for Manchester United for a long time,” Ferrari told Tribalfootball.com.
Martial’s move to United almost three years ago stunned Europe with the fee set at £58m, but that now looks a bargain when considering the €222m PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar.
Ferrari continued: “I think everyone was shocked by those transfer fees. Nobody was expecting Neymar’s transfer, so everything changed.
“‘Natural’ player values have changed. Sincerely, I hope everything will return to normality, to a more correct evaluation.”
