Borussia Monchengladbach are in talks with Chelsea for Bertrand Traore.
Gladbach chief Max Eberl is taking advantage of their relationship with Chelsea to open talks for the Burkina Faso international.
The striker is up for sale at £17 million and been linked with Everton and West Ham, along with several clubs abroad.
Gladbach have come forward and sounded out Chelsea about a permanent deal. The Germans will seek a discount, thanks to their relationship, of around £5 million.
For his part, Traore would prefer to pursue his career in England.
