Robert Lewandowski will not depart Bayern Munich this summer, club president Uli Hoeness definitively ruling out an exit.
Transfer speculation has followed the Poland international frequently of late, with the striker even changing agents amid talk of a move.
“Robert feels he needs a change and a new challenge in his career,” his new representative Pini Zahavi said.
However, Hoeness has insisted that despite those claims, he will not depart the Allianz Arena.
“The 200 million euro price tag is absurd. Robert will not be sold and will play for us next season,” he told Sky Sports Deutschland during a basketball game between Bayern and Alba Berlin.
In any event, it appears that there will be no resolution in terms of the player’s future until after the World Cup.
