Real Madrid are pushing David de Gea to refuse a world record contract offer from Manchester United.
According to well-connected Spanish pundit Eduardo Inda, United are willing to hand De Gea the richest contract for a goalkeeper ever seen in football.
However, Real are urging the Spain No1 to reject the proposal and wait for them to bid for him in June.
Inda told El Chiringuito: “Real Madrid has gone to De Gea and made a request, plain and simple that he does not renew with United.
“De Gea ends his contract in 2019 and if he does not renew, his departure will be easier and cheaper than last year.
“United will see what he does, because the player would be free one year later. The club of (Jose) Mourinho is offering £500,000 per week, which is £26m gross per year, about £13m net, which would be what they would have to pay at Real Madrid.”
Inda also declared: “Real Madrid will go to death for him. United, as I said here a week ago, asked for £120m and Madrid hopes to get the player for €100m.”
