Juventus chief Pavel Nedved is taking charge of their bid to bring back Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

While sports director Fabio Paratici is working on the deal behind the scenes, Tuttosport says Nedved is on the phone this weekend trying to push negotiations forward.

Nedved enjoys a good relationship with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, who also managed the Czech Republic icon until 2009. Nedved is counting on their relationship to help smooth talks.

Juve’s idea remains to take Pogba on-loan in January with the aim to buying him outright at the end of this season.

Both Nedved and Paratici sees the Pogba deal as a personal challenge and an opportunity to prove they can work without their former general manager Beppe Marotta.
