Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare insists he won’t push to leave this month.

Manchester United and Chelsea are being linked with the young midfielder in both the French and English press.

However, Soumare admits his ultimate goal is to play for Real Madrid and says he doesn’t plan to leave in January.

He told L’Equipe: “I don’t see myself leaving. I feel good here. I know we have high goals, like the Champions League. A departure is not on the agenda.

“Yes, of course, I have already discussed it with the coach. I told him very clearly. I have a very clear idea of where I want to go in my career. I know where I am today. And that suits me.

“Real Madrid is at the top of the bill. But I don’t know if I will have to go through a step before, simply because I’m not planning to leave.”
