Barcelona are adamant they won’t go higher for Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho in January.
Barca have resumed contact with Liverpool about signing the Brazil international, having been frustrated in their summer attempts.
However, the Reds are refusing to budge from their original valuation.’
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca have no intention of meeting Liverpool’s £135 million asking price. Indeed, they won’t budge from a figure of £80million up front with £30million in variables.
However, such an offer holds no interest for Liverpool, with the situation remaining at deadlock.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, said yesterday he wasn’t sure if Coutinho would make tonight’s Champions League clash with Maribor.
On Coutinho and Dejan Lovren, Klopp said: “Not 100% sure. If they will be okay for tomorrow night, I don’t know in this moment.”
