Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof insists he won’t let criticism coming his way get him down.
Lindelof was dropped for victory over West Ham after a disappointing performance in the European Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid.
“There are many talented players here. It’s for me to perform, then we’ll see. It is up to the coach to choose. You have to adapt to a new team,” he told Viasat Sport.
“Whatever you do, there will always be people who give you criticism. What should I do? It’s not like I’m lying down and crying over it. They may say and write what they want, it does not concern me.
“You must be able to let it go.”
Lindelof added: “Each match will be tough. In Benfica and the Portuguese league, each match is tough, but we are still the strongest team and win matches. It will be tougher here, but you always go to win matches.”
