Cristiano Ronaldo was lauded by former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand on Wednesday night.
Ronaldo scored a match-winning brace as Real Madrid came from a goal down to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Allianz Arena.
“He’s an obsessed person and obsessed footballer with an obsession to improve year in year out and to sustain that quality,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“The standards he sets himself is ridiculous.”
The double took Ronaldo’s scoring tally in all European competitions to 100 with his Champions League total now on 98.
