Manchester United have been given hope of hijacking Barcelona’s move for Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in Spain.
The World Cup winner was jeered by Atletico Madrid supporters in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Levante after he announced his decision to leave the club.
Barca are the frontrunners to sign the 28-year-old, but there are problems over any potential move.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Blaugrana squad do not like Griezmann after the way he announced his decision to remain at Atleti last summer.
The striker released a documentary labelled “The Decision” in which he proclaimed his commitment to Los Rojiblancos.
The disdain towards Griezmann could pave the way for Manchester United, who have been interested in the former Real Sociedad man for years.
PSG and Bayern Munich have also shown an interest in Griezmann.
