The Week 30 Ligue 1 Conforama clash between OGC Nice and Paris Saint-Germain broke all audience records for a Ligue 1 Conforama match in China.
Broadcast live on two platforms (Tencent and PPTV) and shown live or slightly delayed on four regional channels (Beijing TV, Guangzhou TV, Shanghai TV and Guangdong TV), the match was watched by a total of 1.6 million viewers in China – that’s 16 times the average viewing total for a Ligue 1 Conforama match.

In France, the viewership for the match co-broadcast by Canal+ and beIN SPORTS was also high, with a total of 1.18 million spread evenly over the two broadcasters (630.000 on Canal+ and 550.000 on beIN SPORTS 1) – that’s 1.5 greater than the average viewing numbers for the match played at 17:00 on Saturday.
Didier Quillot, LFP Chief Exectuive
“I would like to thank Canal+, beIN SPORTS, OGC Nice and Paris Saint-Germain for their part in making this event a success. This exceptional 13:00 kick-off time demonstrates the growing interest in Ligue 1 Conforama in China. It also proves that French fans like the broadcast time as well. This successful first initiative has led us to consider trying it again next season, perhaps on two or even three occasions.”
