Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has pulled Gareth Bale aside for crunch talks over his injury management.
Perez has been under pressure from fellow directors for a year to sell the Welshman due to his constant fitness setbacks.
The president has told Bale he has must do better with his injury management and as a consequence has banned him from kicking a ball anywhere but inside the club.
The demand has shocked the Welshman, who has installed a football pitch on his luxury property.
“Gareth was in love with having a football field in his own home. After moving, he met some friends to play a game five against five, but now he can not do it,” a source told The Sun.
“His club wants him to be in cotton wool and they are afraid the field is not all right and Bale will injure his ankle.
“But the field is well taken care of: he’s hired a specialist gardener in sports stadiums to build it.”
