Chelsea tabled a massive offer for PSG defender Marquinhos last summer, it has been revealed.

The Daily Express says Manchester United and Chelsea were both keen to bring him to England, while Barcelona were also credited with interest.

However, PSG were reluctant to part with the 22-year-old and he stayed at the Parc des Princes, where he is currently under contract until 2019.

And his agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, has confirmed the French club never had any intentions of selling the defender.

“The president of PSG never wanted to negotiate a transfer, neither with Barca nor with anyone,” he told El Mundo Deportivo.

“Last summer there was a €60million (£52m) proposal for Marquinhos and he rejected it.”

Le 10 Sport claim the offer was from Chelsea.
