The draw for the Coupe de la Ligue’s Round of 16 was held in Bordeaux – where this season’s final will be held on March 31, 2018 – yielding some interesting clashes as Ligue 1 Conforama’s ‘European’ sides enter the fray.
With former Girondins de Bordeaux defender Marc Planus – a Coupe de la Ligue winner – and Bordeaux women’s team striker Sarah Cambot doing the honours, the draw for the 2017-2018 Coupe de la Ligue round of 16 was held in Bordeaux on Tuesday afternoon.
With Ligue 1 Conforama’s ‘European’ sides – AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, OGC Nice, Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille and Girondins de Bordeaux – entering the competition at this stage, Ligue 2’s Tours FC did well to book a trip to Ligue 1 Conforama promotees Amiens SC.
The rest of the fixtures are all-Ligue 1 Conforama affairs, and include a Garonne derby as Bordeaux travel to Toulouse as well as four-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain making the trip east to face promoted RC Strasbourg Alsace at the Stade de la Meinau.
The matches will be played on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December, 2017.
