Swansea City hope Manchester United’s interest in Daniel James sparks an auction for the winger.
United are keen on James and feel that at 21 he has the potential to become a star in the Premier League, reports the Mirror.
James is also being watched by a number of other clubs, including Everton, Newcastle and Leeds, and Swansea hope this will drive up his transfer fee.
They know they must cash in on James this summer because he has a year left on his contract and has rejected their attempts to persuade him to agree new terms.
Swansea want the bidding to start at £15million and hope they will end up receiving more for James.
